When you are better off not buying magic truffles

This is not a sales pitch. We sell magic truffles and microdoses, and still we are writing down here when it is better not to order them. Because honest advice also means: sometimes not right now.

A truffle or a microdose does not really give you anything new. Mostly it shows what is already there: your mood, your thoughts, the calm or the restlessness in your head. If that ground is solid, it can be a valuable experience. If that ground is off, no product solves it for you. That is why the most important question is not which type you choose, but whether this is the right moment.

Moments when it is better not to order

For some people, or at some moments, waiting is simply the better choice. Do you recognise yourself in one of these points? Then take your time.

  • You are going through a hard stretch, a crisis, grief, or you simply do not have much to draw on right now. Psychedelics, and to a lesser degree microdosing, touch on old emotions and patterns. That takes a certain stability. Find calm and support first, the truffles are not going anywhere.
  • You take certain medication, such as SSRIs, SNRIs, MAO inhibitors or antipsychotics. Do not simply combine these. Talk to your doctor first, that is not a formality but just sensible.
  • Psychosis, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder runs in your own life or in your close family. In that case we steer clear. A low dose does not get around that risk.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding. Then the answer is short and clear: do not.
  • You are looking for a quick fix. Microdosing is not a switch you flip. It only works if you move along with it, and honestly: for plenty of people it does nothing at all. Sometimes nothing happens.
  • Set and setting are not right, certainly at a higher dose. You need time, a safe place and preferably someone sober nearby. Not squeezed in between two appointments.
  • You are really doing it for someone else, or to escape something. The best reason to start is your own, calm curiosity, not an expectation from outside and not an escape.

When it can be a good moment

Turn it around and the opposite picture forms by itself. A good moment is often there when you feel reasonably steady, are curious without having to be, and have the time and calm to give the experience a place. With sober expectations, not with the hope that it solves everything.

If you choose to, do it calmly. Start low, build up slowly, and stop when in doubt. There is no rush. If you want to know how to prepare, read your first time with truffles, and for the small dose what is microdosing.

Why we are writing this down

This piece costs us sales. We know that, and that is exactly the point. A good experience at the right moment matters more to us than an order today. We would rather tell you honestly that it is better to wait a while than have you buy something you are not ready for yet.

Not sure whether this is for you? Feel free to email us. We are just as happy to think along with you about deciding against something as about making the right choice. No pressure, no sales talk, just an honest answer.

This article is informational and not medical advice. Do not use magic truffles or microdoses if you have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are under 18. If you take medication or are unsure about your situation, consult your GP or doctor first.
